The Arts

Street 5 Drama: One of the most effective ways to communicate the Gospel is using drama. When Jesus walked on this earth, many times He clarified His message using parables as illustrations. Many people will not come into a church building but will stop to watch a drama presentation on the streets. At Apostello MTC, our vision is to reenact real life situations in a dramatized form and minister Jesus to the un-churched, the homeless, and the many nations of the earth.

Many of the dramas we teach are without words and can be used universally to minister to many cultures. We also believe that humor can be a very effective tool to reach into the hearts of people who will not listen to a sermon. Unlike the old mime technique of white painted faces and white gloves, we have chosen a more contemporary, free style approach to communicate the gospel with drama and humor. It is amazing how many people on the streets will linger to be entertained by an entire drama and then suddenly they are seized with the reality of the Gospel message and become accountable to respond.

Much of the training classes you will receive at Apostello are for drama's that will be performed on the streets or in local churches. We incorporate contemporary Christian music or original drama tracks we have produced. All students will be required to participate in the learning of these dramas. If you are coming to be trained at AMTC, be prepared to be stretched beyond your normal comfort zones. Our training is exciting yet very challenging and prepares each person to be effective ministers to communicate the Gospel.

Dance: There are many other creative ways in which the power of the cross can be delivered without compromising the message. One very powerful communication tool is, "Dance". At Apostello we are committed to use the gift of dance as a form of worship but also combining drama with it to enhance the message of Jesus. Most people who attend Apostello have no professional training but may have been involved with a church dance troupe or either have had no experience at all. We do not require you to have lots of experience but just a willing heart. Many of the drama's you will learn will incorporate drama with some dancing or choreographed movements. Some drama's will only involve the girls.

We believe God can anoint the art of dance to reach the nations as we use it creativity to share the Gospel. There are many lost people who have a great appreciation for this kind of art and whose hearts will soften through this beautiful expression.

Children's Ministry

The Bible tells us that Jesus loved to have children around Him, for such is His Kingdom. We at Apostello MTC believe we can touch the little ones exposing them to the Gospel using puppets, skits, clowning, and music. When you attend our Summer Internship program, one of the primary focus's of your training, will be to minister to children. We will be scheduling outreaches and children's programs wherever opportunities open for us. Much of the training will require you to learn skits. Some scripts may be lengthy and will require memorization if needed. Comedy, puppets, costumes, music, and games are all part of the things we will do when we minister to kids. We are not so much concerned about our performances being perfect, but just having hearts who will spend time with kids caring and loving them. Be prepared to have a lots of fun, but be prepared to work hard. You will be blessed!

Street Evangelism

The great commission calls us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Part of the Training at Apostello will be to challenge each person to learn to stand before people and share the Gospel. Whether it be in front of a congregation at a local church, or on the streets somewhere, we believe your testimony can be the most important thing that touches the hearts of people.

We will be going to countries and sharing our drama's but also giving each person an opportunity to preach before crowds of people. Prior to departing for any international trip, we will also be conducting local outreaches in our community. There will be opportunities to street preach even before touching foreign soils. Everyone who attends will be encouraged to step out on the water and try it. We will also be providing classes that will you give you basic guidelines of how to witness one on one in the streets.

Bible Classes

In the midst of all the training in dramatic arts, we will be providing some simple Bible classes. Besides classes on street evangelism, we will be teaching on prayer and intercession, and the servant life style. Other subjects will be announced before each school term begins. There will also be daily group meetings where each student will be required at times to share a short devotional from the Bible. We will also be teaching special classes dealing with other cultures and religions. Be prepared to learn and grow much in God's word.

Music & Worship

During the Summer Internship program, we will be providing some basic classes for those who feel called to minister with their musical gifts and want to pursue excellence in their ability. Because this division of Apostello is in the beginning stages, we will only be providing a few classes based on those attending who have musical interests.
